False Case: ধর্ষণের মিথ্যা মামলা করার অভিযোগে এক মহিলা ও তাঁর তিন আইনজীবী সঙ্গীকে গ্রেফতার করল পুলিশ
আগ্রা: মিথ্যা ধর্ষণের অভিযোগ করায় গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে এক মহিলাকে। যুবকের বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা মামলা সাজাতে ওই যুবতীকে সাহায্যের অভিযোগ উঠেছিল তিন আইনজীবীর বিরুদ্ধে। অভিযুক্ত তিন আইনজীবীকেও গ্রেফতার করেছে পুলিশ। ধর্ষণের মামলায় ফাঁসিয়ে নির্দোষ যুবককে ভয় দেখিয়ে তাঁর থেকে টাকা নেওয়ার অভিযোগও রয়েছে এই চার জনের বিরুদ্ধে। সম্প্রতি ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে উত্তর প্রদেশের আগ্রাতে। অভিযুক্ত চার জন জেল হেফাজতে রয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে পুলিশ।
Lawyers from both sides (victim and accused) were found involved in extorting money (from the accused).
“A case of registering a fake case and extortion was registered and the woman complainant and three lawyers were arrested along with cash of Rs 3.75 lakh,” Agra Superintendent of Police said.
During interrogation, the names of two other lawyers, including a woman lawyer, also surfaced as co-accused.
“Search for them is underway. We are further investigating the matter,” the police official said. (ANI)
During investigation, the complaint was found to be fake and it turned out that the woman and her three lawyers — Jitendra Rajput, Nishant Kumar and Shekhar Pratap Singh - had conspired against Rahul to extort Rs 5 lakhs from him. Two other lawyers including Rahul’s lawyer Avinash Vaishya, who helped the victim's lawyer in the case, are still at large, said police.
Police said during interrogation, the woman said that out of Rs 5 lakh— her share was Rs two lakhs and the remaining amount was to be distributed among the lawyers including their fee. The amount of Rs 3.75 lakh was recovered from their possession, while the remaining amount had already been spent by them, said police.
Station house officer of Hariparwat police station, Arvind Kumar, told TOI that the woman and three lawyers were booked under IPC Sections 195 (Giving or fabricating false evidence with intent to procure conviction of offence punishable with imprisonment for life or imprisonment), 384 (extortion), 385 (Putting person in fear of injury in order to commit extor¬tion) and 420 (cheating
